Clearance Level: Active DoD - Minimum Secret

Required Certification(s): Candidate must have DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher, Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching; and ITILv3 certification

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Network Administrator II to join out team at Shaw, AFB, SC.

DUTIES:

The contractor shall provide Network Administration Level 2 support for network operations. Conducts analysis, recommendation, installation, configuration, monitoring, O&M of hardware and software as needed to continuously maintain and enhance organizational networks/domains. Provides for end to end network services to include but not limited to facility cable plant, layer 2 and 3 devices, intrusion detection system (IDS), encryption devices, modeling and simulation, configuration management. Ensures a secure operating environment by monitoring network administration access and adherence to established policies and procedures. Supports maintaining and semi-annual publishing of a comprehensive as-built Systems Engineering Plan, by providing inputs, as required. Performs research and recommendation of new technologies and upgrades to keep up with current technological developments. Performs network analysis for tuning, troubleshooting and optimization. Supports the design, plan and implementation of network topologies. Provides network inputs to Monthly Status Report deliverable to the customer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or 6+ years of experience (see below)

Background Needed and Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years experience in switch networks, IP routing and design

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills (Must Have):

  • Candidate must have DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher, Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching; and ITILv3 certification

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Strong writing and communication skills; Organized with ability to work independently and with a team; Attention to details and suspense; Ability to train others

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Contractor Shaw AFB, SC site with 0%-10% travel possible, depending on requirement to attend event planning conferences, at customer discretion. Possible off-hours work to support exercise planning/execution, project implementation, or 24/7 project events. General office environment, with periodic walking or driving to other buildings on base and working with standard office equipment. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, with no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

Strength Demands: Sedentary 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
